Within the framework of Continental Building Company’s core values and strategic business plan, develop, strategize and lead regional business development efforts in order to secure long-term clients and profitable work. Locally coordinate marketing and client relations efforts that align directly with the company’s business development goals and strategies.

 

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & CLIENT RELATIONS

• Secure new client relationships that will produce long-term opportunities and profitable projects for the company

• Build trust and maintain relationships with existing clients in order to secure additional services and projects

• Research, identify and develop a strong list of local, long-term prospective clients within each CBC primary market segment

• Work with corporate Vice President of Business Development and Marketing as needed to secure and manage national client accounts

• Develop and progress a minimum of five client action plans in order to obtain high-yielding, targeted clients

• Generate and review monthly, written business development activities updates with corporate Vice President of Business Development & Marketing and Vice President of Pittsburgh office

• Work with corporate Vice President, Business Development & Marketing and Vice President of Pittsburgh office to coordinate customer satisfaction surveys and follow up procedures

• Identify new methodologies, technologies and trends in the construction industry and in specific markets to order to keep the Company competitive in the marketplace; monitor competitors’ differentiators

• Communicate and reinforce the Company’s vision, values and goals

• Develop and maintain a strong architect/consultant network

• Perform additional assignments as requested by the corporate Vice President of Business Development & Marketing and the Vice President of the Pittsburgh office


MARKETING

• Assist in the development of the company’s overall strategic marketing plan

• Assist in the planning and regional implementation of specific marketing strategies and objectives

• Assist with the annual development of Pittsburgh office Business Development and Marketing budget

• Coordinate and develop client-specific proposals, presentations and other materials in accordance with corporate brand messaging, standards and templates

• Work closely with corporate Marketing Manager and support staff to produce specific materials for local clients, jobsites, events and advertising/promotion needs

• Regularly gather local project and associates’ information in order to maintain up-to-date information on associate’s resumes, project data sheets, and project case study files

• Regularly gather local client reference letters

• Coordinate high-quality, professional photography of local projects, associates and events

• In alignment with corporate marketing plan and strategies, research and submit local award submissions

• In alignment with corporate marketing plan and strategies, secure professional speaking engagement for senior staff at local industry events and association meetings

• Organize local business development events with support from corporate Marketing

• Participate in industry and civic organizations in order to promote corporate citizenship and overall company exposure
