Location: Columbus, OH


  •  Work with VP of Business Development and EVP of Preconstruction on Preconstruction Phase planning and deliverables (e.g., project logistics plan, construction sequencing plan, etc)
  • Develop and oversee BIM execution strategies for multiple projects
  • Develop and collaborate with Estimators and Operations to develop BIM Execution Plans
  • Develop and manage BIM coordination schedules
  • Assist with BIM & coordination budget development and reviews
  • Manage, train and oversee day-to-day activities of BIM Engineers on various projects
  • Assist Technology and Business Unit Leaders with BIM resource allocation
  • Perform BIM engineering tasks including leading/facilitating coordination processes and model management
  • Act as administrator for file & document sharing platforms such as Box, Onedrive, Autodesk BIM 360
  • Lead development of project BIM deliverables - including sign-off models.
  • Work with service providers to perform laser scanning services
  • Participate in Project Technology Integration planning process with Project Teams
  • Support model-based scheduling (4D) & model-based estimating (5D) efforts on various projects
  • Assist IT services with troubleshooting BIM software issues and troubleshooting for local users
  • Develop, schedule, and facilitate training for CBC users and partners 
  • Develop project specific BIM Scopes and align with Execution Plans
  • Review trade partner BIM qualifications and advise project team during buyout
  • Work with project team to develop project BIM requirements
  • Ensure trade partner/subcontractor compliance with BIM requirements 
  • Participate in yearly business plan development process - set BIM goals, identify training and resource needs, etc.
  • Document & share best practices with Department Heads and throughout CBC
  • Facilitate and lead regular local BIM Team meetings
  • Assist marketing group with communicating the benefits of BIM to prospective clients, owners, and partners
  • Present CBC BIM capabilities and approach to prospective clients
  • Participate and/or lead BIM-related innovation initiatives


  • Work with VP of Business Development and project teams to secure new clients and projects
  • Develop trusting relationships with clients in order to ensure loyal, repeat customers with long-term opportunities/projects
  • Communicate and reinforce the Company’s vision, values and goals
  • Identify new methodologies, technologies and trends in the construction industry in to order to keep the Company competitive in the marketplace
  • Develop and maintain a strong architect/consultant network
  • Participate in CBC Charities events and other CBC-sponsored association and/or community activities
  • Perform additional assignments as requested by Executive Vice President or President

  • Mastery of current VDC/BIM software platforms such as Bluebeam Revu Extreme, Lumion, Autodesk Architecture Engineering & Construction Collection, Sketch Up Pro
  • Must be self-motivated and detail orientated


  • Minimum BS in architecture or construction-related field or equivalent work experience
  • 8 or more years AEC industry experience required
  • 2 or more years supervisory experience managing and leading teams preferred
